This Privacy Policy describes how Akshay Savaliya (registered on Google Play as Savaliya Akshaykumar Gopalbhai; "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application Calculator Vault: Hide Photos (package ID: com.aquison.calculator, the "App"), available on Google Play. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

Calculator Vaultfollows a privacy-first, local-only model. The following information is created when you use the App and remains in the App's private storage on your device:

  • A one-way cryptographic hash of the PIN you create — your actual PIN is never stored
  • Your security-question answers, stored only on your device
  • The photos, videos, files, and notes you add to the vault, stored encrypted in the app's private storage
  • Your app preferences and settings

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Just as important is what never happens:

  • No analytics, crash reporting, usage tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind
  • Nothing is ever uploaded — the app has no servers, backend, or cloud infrastructure
  • No account, name, email, or phone number is required or collected
  • No location data is collected

3. App Permissions

The App requests only the permissions it needs to function:

  • Photos & Media: Required to import the photos, videos, and files you choose into your encrypted vault.
  • Camera: Lets you capture photos directly into the vault without saving them to your gallery first.
  • Notifications: Used only for local status updates on your device — never for marketing or remote messages.

4. Third-Party Services

The App is fully self-contained. It does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash-reporting, tracking, or advertising SDKs. Frameworks used to build the App (such as Jetpack Compose and Room) run entirely on your device and transmit nothing.

5. Security

  • All vault contents are protected with AES-256-GCM encryption using the Android Keystore system
  • Your PIN is stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — never in plain text
  • Vault screens set FLAG_SECURE, blocking screenshots and screen recording
  • The app operates entirely offline, so your data is never exposed to a network

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, and any PIN or credentials you set, safe.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Deletion & Your Control

Because all of your content is stored locally, you are always in control. You can delete individual items inside the App at any time, and uninstalling the App permanently removes all data it stored on your device.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when the updated policy is posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
